Intelligence Operator 230: In the Service of Canada

Intelligence Operator 230: In the Service of Canada has been published internationally and has been well received by both the military and corporate intelligence communities and the public.

Mike Fournier’s Intelligence Operator 230 is a rare glimpse into the shadowed corridors of Canadian military intelligence. From Cold War silence behind the Iron Curtain to the electronic warfare of Afghanistan, Fournier’s memoir is not just a recounting—it’s a reckoning. With firsthand insight and restrained candour, he lifts the curtain on a profession shaped by trust, tension, and the burden of knowing too much.

Intelligence Operator 230: The Second File

More reflections on a military career, not discussed in the first book. It centers on untold stories—adventures, mishaps, practical jokes, and the deeper realities of intelligence work—set specifically in Cyprus, behind the Iron Curtain, and in Afghanistan. The Second File will also examine the craft and psychology of military interrogation.

After Culloden: A Family Saga From Scotland to Canada

After Culloden is a historical, multi-generational account of how my Fournier, Castagne, Blackburn, McPherson, Cameron, and Fraser ancestors influenced the settlement and development of Canada. The project traces my lineage and connection to all the clan chiefs, their defeat at Culloden, and exiles to the colony. After Culloden, my ancestors' experiences include the Seven Years’ War, their defence against the Continental Army in 1775, their involvement in the fur and lumber industries, and service to Canada in the Great War. After Culloden, thoroughly researched and fully annotated, blends historical narrative with personal reflection to illuminate how my ancestors helped shape the nation that shaped me.
